Children's Books by Marilyn
Combining her love of reading with her love of music, Marilyn Sitar recently published her second children’s book, complete with a song! While she penned “The King Who Lost His Crown” as a bedtime story for her son many years ago, “The Little Bitty Monkey” song was a recent add-on. “I wrote and recorded the “Little Bitty Monkey” to help tell the story of what happened to the king’s crown and to encourage children’s natural development of language and rhythm. Plus, it’s just plain FUN! Kids can listen to the song and sing along to it by scanning the QR code on the back of the book. Marilyn’s first book, “The Mother’s Day Rock,” was published in 2020.
What does the future hold? “Well, I’m looking forward to exploring new avenues for music, especially songwriting. Music soothes my soul!”
